May Memories

This month has brought a few surprises. Our daughter started rolling over constantly a few weeks back. Last week she started pulling herself up & now with slight help she can pull herself up & ‘walk’ backwards to a fully standing position.

Right before Mother’s Day, I contracted a sinus infection & inner ear infection which gave me vertigo. After two weeks, I could finally drive again. My mother-in-law on the other hand has really struggled with her slow recovery from vertigo.

We’ve had lots of great moments & some updated pictures of extended family. Now on to warmer weather!

Memorial Day Weekend Away

Winter War

Up until two days ago (after Memorial Day of course), we were still wearing fall coats night & day (more often than not)! After the previous two days, we’ve finally entered spring/summer. Am I the only one thinking “It’s about dang time???”

Now this is the part that will really crack you up. Would you believe that our artificial Christmas tree is still up? Oh yes… sad but true & not because it’s complicated, oh no. That would somehow make some sense. It’s from pure laziness. We enjoy our family outings too much to stay inside taking apart & storing the tree.

Alas we have resigned ourselves to the fact that unless we plan on having Christmas in July, we NEED to take our tree down! So now I have come up a bargain for Mother Nature. What would that be, you ask? Once we have a full week of nice weather (i.e. 70 + degree), we will get that tree down without fail.

So what do you think Mother Nature? I am calling your bluff!

Sometimes life is exhausting...

Well things have busy as always here! Between illnesses, school, travel, family outings, etc... will be updating here in the next few days. Lots of pics coming!

Surprise visit & more!

Today my mother made a surprise visit to myself & the kids today! It was fantastic timing because I was feeling a bit lonely. Guess I've gotten used to having company around the house.





In other news, I celebrated my birthday this weekend dancing with my friends & then my in-laws for a nice dinner & yummy Ande chocolate mint pie!





Hubby & the kids surprised me with an amazing birthday gift... a new camera with some cool artsy features & the ability to take multiple sequential pictures! After asking if he was sure about it, I opened it up & experimented with it all afternoon. I like my new 'toy'!
