Maybe not such a breeze...

Man oh man! Crazy times will be upon us soon. Between Son's camp & classes, upcoming appointments & aggressive musical rehearsals starting shortly... like is going to be crazy but worth it to follow this dream! Guess I'll have to really enjoy my down time when I get it!

I got in!

The final cast list was posted & I made the supporting cast as one of the students!  This actually works out great because it's a good beginner role that will teach me about the process.  This is going to be so much fun!  I'm very excited about this.  Wish me luck!

There's a chance?

Tonight I auditioned for a musical with the local children's theater. I was confident going in & did my best. After being out of choir for fifteen years now, my voice definitely still needs practice. My sister-in-law, her hubby & my mother-in-law were a fantastic help in helping me prepare for the audition.

I'm thrilled to say though that I made call-back list so they want to see more of what I can do. This means I have a shot to be in theater like I've always been interested in. I would love a chance to do this. Cross your fingers for me!

A rare occassion...

This weekend my brothers are both visiting & we're enjoying spending time with them. My nephew is getting so big & my youngest brother's girlfriend seems very nice. All in all, a nice weekend with family!

Mommy Time

A local town held a Ladies Night Out with free goodies, awesome deals & fun events where all the proceeds went to Breast Cancer Research. I decided to go alone for some ‘Mommy time’. Once I found a parking place among the many pink outfits (including my own), I headed over & got myself a pink margarita with some mouth-watering chocolates. With a pink bag to carry all my goodies, I enjoyed a free chair massage & got a free photo taken. Other treats included strawberry lemonade, pink highlights & boas, hug-a-hunk, watermelon wine, mini-manicure, cupcakes & punch. Then I enjoyed the movie’27 Dresses’.

What most men don’t do until college…

Daughter’s 9-month check-up went well. She’s still growing at the 97% growth rate & is still proportionate. There are no problems & she’s outgrown her acid reflux which means we can finally purchase the bulk can at the same price. She weighed in at 23 lbs & 29.5 inches long. She has a slight cough left-over caused from post-nasal drip.

Son was diagnosed with a childhood variance of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) & hopefully some medication will take care of it. We’ll see how things are in a few weeks from now.

Son was a great little helper after seeing an episode of Caillou where the kids helped with the chores. Son helped put laundry into the dryer & then said ‘Let’s do my clothes now.” He pulled his hamper from his bedroom to the laundry room door, threw the dirty clothes individually into the washing machine, sat on the washing machine to pour soap in, push all correct buttons & start it – ALL BY HIMSELF! Now if only we can continue this, especially since most men don’t even attempt it until they leave for college.

Son played so nicely with Daughter the other day. He’s really getting into playing with her (instead of beside her) now that she’s interacting with him as well.

Although my sinus infection has kept me stuffy, we spent a beautiful day at the zoo this weekend. It was lovely enjoying the warm weather.

Already the day drags...

Don't you hate those days when everything seems to be edgy, nothing goes right & you just want to run away from life for a bit? This morning was that day for me.

Sometimes... this is what I want to say.
