Interesting turn of events

Today has been a very interesting day. My hubby had to work super late last night so I told him to stay over at his folks since I knew he'd be tired.

So at 5:30 am my son crawled into bed with me asking for "Rocket?" or otherwise known as Little Einsteins TV show. My back was starting to feel better this morning when we got up. At breakfast my son threw his yogurt all over the kitchen table, chair & floor which took me 30 minutes to clean up. He went down great for his nap. Around that time I developed a migraine which has just stuck like glue to lucky me, even now.

After he woke up from his nap, I found he had gotten into his diaper & pulled out some poop. Do not ask me why he has this gross interest but this is the fourth time he's pulled poop out of his diaper only to smear it on other places. This time he had smeared it all over an extra mattress (which uses to jump on since he smeared poop over his mini trampoline previously), one of his bookcases & then opened up his pj drawer to smear it around in there & on the clothes. That took at least an hour to clean up.

At dinner, he poured his milk all over the kitchen table & hot dog on the floor so I had to clean that up. Then since it was getting dark, I proceeded to close the window blinds when our large family room picture window blinds came crashing down onto me & another light. My son asked me if I was okay as I stood there holding these heavy vertical blinds with a back that was just starting to recover. After I carried the blinds to the living room where they'd be out of my son's play area, I talked to my hubby about everything. Now my back aches badly again. Geez, can't a woman catch a break?

The good news is that nothing is wrong with the car's ball joints so we don't need to fix those. Who knows why the previous auto mechanic thought that?

Can't you just hear that commercial? "Today I had a migraine, cleaned up yogurt, milk & hot dogs all over my kitchen floor, cleaned up poop all over my son's room & got some car repairs done but the good news is that I saved a bunch by switching to GEICO!"

Although "mama said there'd be says like this" it's all worth it when I look at the peace on my son's face when he's sleeping. I never thought I'd be lucky enough to do all I did today & yet I want to do it again.
