Saturday evening was the rehearsal dinner at a local hungarian restaurant. The atmosphere was very fun & elegant. Each person had a side choice (cucumber salad or beef & vegetable soup), five delicious entrees to choose from & two desserts (apricot crepes & another item). The grooms' family used their own wine which they are hoping to market at stores soon.
Now anyone who knows me, knows how finicky I am about food. It's something I've been trying to change but I just can't help it. Frankly it's very frustrating for me. Anyway I had the cucumber salad which my hubby didn't think I would eat but it smeeled yummy so I tried it. This was the reaction... "Yay! She likes it." LOL
Next was the beef goulash (probably which I mis-spelled) which I was told we should have with 'schpetzel'. The beef was yummy but the schpetzel was some kind of small mushy egg noodle. The noodles did not go well but I was a tropper & tried it. The desserts were yummy but the apricot dessert ruled!
After dinner, everyone mingled, took pictures & tried on this heavy shepard's coat. The restaurant owner was so cool.
