Animal fun

Today we decided to go to the zoo where we had a fun filled afternoon. We got there at noon & got busy right away. We saw the butterfly exhibit (where my son learned 'no touch the butterflies'), rode the tram all the way around the park (which let us see most the animals even although many were sleeping), rode the carousel (on the peacock bench), saw & tried to touch a stingray, had lunch in air conditioning which was refreshing, enjoyed the dolphin show (especially when they jumped high into the air to touch the ball from the ceiling), rode the carousel one last time (hippo's turn) & then my son fell asleep in the car before we were even out of the parking lot.

We stopped by my folks' neighborhood where we picked them up, had saganaki for dinner (pasta for my son) & then looked at some houses. On the way home, my son got cranky & we had to pull over on the highway for some discipline. That was not fun.

When we got home, he pooped in the potty all by himself, said good night to Daddy & then went to bed. Now we have severe thunderstorms coming through this evening & a tornado watch until midnight. I think we'll barely miss the first batch but will get hit with the send wave heading our way later tonight. I also finally buckled & turned on the air before heading upstairs. Thank god for low E windows!!! It definately keeps the house whatever tempature we like without hekp for longer periods.

Now it's time for me to get some shut-eye. As busy as I managed to keep my son today, it exhausted me as well. Now hopefully I can sleep more than a couple of hours at a time.
