Getaway

This past weekend my in-law's babysat my son while my hubby & I went away (just the two of us) for the weekend on a much needed getaway for the first time in seven years. The weekend was absolutely wonderful & exactly what we needed. We laughed all weekend, just enjoying each other's company. More details (& hopefuly photos) to follow soon. Meanwhile my in-laws had a ball with our son taking him to a childrens' amusement park, childrens' museum & forest walks with the dogs.

Our son was just as happy to see us as we were to see him. We missed him but the break was nice. He immediately started telling us about the roller coaster & water ride he went on. We also picked up our cat from the vet/hospital where they were boarding her & were told they could find nothing wrong. She hasn't thrown up since though; to help matters we've switched her to a more bland food.

The ant traps seemed to have worked since we haven't seen an ant since we got home but are still having the exterminator coming out for preventative work next week. We want to make sure they don't return. Yesterday afternoon my youngest sister came to visit & brought a Penguin 3-1 Play Center for our son. It's the first thing he asked for this morning when he woke up at 6:30 am. (LOL)

As for the pregnancy, it's going well. Today I officially start my third trimester at 27 weeks! We've gotten to the end stretch even though these last few months is when the baby & my belly will be growing the most.
