Heartbreaking tears

Today our new daughter's jaundice level was tested again. Her tears were heartbreaking as they did her blood test. I knew it was the first of many heartbreaking moments to come. Instead of spiking previously as it was supposed to, it has risen slightly from 15.0 to 15.9. The doctor says it's nothing to be too concerned about until the levels get close to 30. In the meantime, she sleeps with her tummy exposed to sunlight during the day. It should be helpful. Tomorrow we'll find out more. Otherwise she's eating very well, sleeping soundly & starting to have a few more alert periods.

As for our son, he's still adjusting but doing well. Meanwhile, he's started preschool & loving it! We are so excited to watch him start his next stage of development. According to the teacher, he's behaving nicely in class without any problems.

Today I had the first of many moments of juggling two children. While I was reading to my son for his afternoon nap, I had to feed my new daughter at the same time. That was definitely interesting but it worked out.
