We took our baby girl to the doctor again today. They cleaned up & cauterized the inside of her belly button area to stop the spotting & speed up the healing process. Although she's only had a few poops, she toots quite a bit. And when she does, watch out! Our cute baby girl can be quite the stink pot but she makes up for it with her looks. :-) She continues to get gunk in her eyes which makes them 'sticky' for her open sometimes. Oh & she now weighs 8 lbs & 8 oz so is gaining weight every day.
Oh & last nght after one of her feedings, I watched her dream with a variety of emotions. She pouted & then smiled. Later when she was alert, I was making faces at her as she responded. Then all of a sudden she seemed to do a silent laugh with her body as she smiled at the same time. I could be wrong but I choose to think of it as her first laugh. Of course, my favorite moments so far are the secret smiles she makes when she's sound asleep. Just too cute!
