When you become parents, you start having conversation you couldn't imagine having before. Like yesterday, our son who is in the process of being toilet-trained, went poop in his training toilet for the first time. I was so proud of him because he told me wasn't finished & then called me in a few minutes later to show me his poop in the toilet. He definately gets it. So what do we do then?
Well of course we call Daddy & our son tells him how he went poop in the toilet. He was so proud that he kept repeating it during the whole conversation. So after I clean out the training toilet bowl (let me tell you that it was gross) & praised him, my hubby & I thought we should do something special for him that evening. Problem being we don't really have any kid places except for McDonald's around us.
So when my hubby got home, we went to McDonald's where our son climbed the tubes for the first time. He was hesitant until I climbed in with him twice to show him how to do it. Not a good idea with my back hurting but kids can compell you to do many things that may not seem to be a good idea. I love seeing him smile. After two times, I couldn't climb anymore but our son got the hang of it & kept on going for another 15 minutes. Although I couldn't see him, I swear he kept going the same path inside the tubes.
On the way home, we stopped & picked up some overnight pull-ups. Then we had one of those "Oh-my-god-somebody-help-me" consumer moments. You know where you stand there overwhelmed by your choice in styles & brands. I've always preferred Pampers first & then Luvs. I'm not a big fan of Huggies. After standing there looking at an assortment of packages, we asked someone for their opinion. It was like picking out diapers for the first time again. Finally I grudgingly decided we could try Huggies Overnight Pull-ups.
Our son was very proud of his new pull-ups. So after Daddy changed him, he came running to show me in only his pull-ups & socks saying "Look" with his hands in the air. It was so precious! The pull-ups passed the test with no leaking last night so hopefuly we were more than lucky. ;-) Keep your fingers crossed for us!
