How I'm doing

Today we saw the doctor because I was cramping & having painful irregular contractions while I was laying down (which is when they usually stop). Our son went happily over to a neighbor's until Grandma picked him up. Meanwhile I was monitored & checked. The baby is doing fine & healthy as ever, recent health issues have appeared to have cleared up. Then I was told I was 2 cm dilated (after a week still!) & 60% effaced. So we still have a way to go & the baby is taking it's own sweet time. (LOL) Good news is that the baby is -2 stage (+5 is crowning) with it's head down & sideways ready anytime. Hopefully tomorrow will be my lucky day!


Now at 39 weeks, my hubby says my belly has grown significantly during the past week alone! Now I currently look like I'm carrying an 8 lb bowling ball. I want this to be over but it's bittersweet as well because it's the last time I'll ever feel our child growing, moving & kicking in my belly. It's tough but I know it's a blessing. Now it's time to meet this blessing!
