The Continuing Saga

Our saga continued on Friday as our son developed another high temperature of 101.7 & broke out in a rash across his face. The doctor diagnosed him that afternoon with strep throat (& discovered his easy gag reflex which he quickly recovered from). The doctor filled us in but here’s where you can read more details about strep & other various illnesses.

That evening he started acting up, partly due to his lack of health all this week along with his new testing phase. After everything I had been through this week, I temporarily lost & sat in the dark closet upstairs. Once recovered, I re-joined my hubby & son before running errands by myself. After getting to bed at a decent time, our son joined us in bed (on my side) at 2:30 am. Since I was exhausted & wanted my hubby & son to sleep well, I slept on sofa until 8 am & then cuddled with my hubby.

Saturday morning my son’s face rash continued to worsen so we paid the doctor another visit. They verified the rash was caused sometimes by strep throat in children. My hubby & I also both tested negative for strep which was a relief. When naptime came, we all slept like rocks! When our son woke up, he surprised up by telling us he had potty before going to the bathroom completely by himself! I mean… he opened the lid, pulled his pants down, went potty & then pulled his pants up! We were floored & so proud.

During the afternoon, we watched Grandpa & Daddy (he never lifted once by my orders!) put up ceiling fans in ours & the baby’s room. Then our son expressed interest in learning to use a drill. (LOL) When he started getting cranky again, it was time for sick little boys to take a second nap.
