Last Thursday my son & I drove with my Dad & youngest sister where we visited my grandmother & our aunt. My grandma & son both loved playing together! You can see the video above. When we got home, we went over to Sam’s Club where my son started to get tired & lost it. We grabbed some dinner with my mom before heading home to my hubby.
Friday morning I woke up feeling crampy again but managed to make it to some of the garage sales for our town’s annual garage sale weekend. I still not much luck finding what I was looking for. My poor mother-in-law needed rest (she got my son’s cold) before we picked her & my father-in-law up to go see a childrens’ musical play of Beauty & the Beast. My son enjoyed the Beast character the most while all the girls adored Belle. Afterwards we went over to my in-law’s home where we celebrated my birthday. I received some nice jewelry, a pair of leopard sandals & nice red summer maternity top.
Saturday Grandpa & Daddy installed electrical ceiling fan boxes & electrical light switches. After my son’s nap, he & I went over to the Cinco de Mayo festival where we went into the petting zoo, played a few kid games & then got his hands painted. One the way home, we checked the area for garage sale leftovers & found a similar replacement chair for our kitchen. Then it was off to Portillo’s for dinner with my in-laws. Once our son was asleep, my hubby & I went to our neighbor’s get together where we had a nice time with other adults.
Sunday I had some time to myself to check the local resale shops for summer maternity clothes. No luck but I did find some fish-themed dresser knobs for the baby’s dressers which my son helped me replace today. Then we had dinner at Friday’s where my hubby surprised me by having the waitresses sing to me. As we started to head home, our son said “I have pee pee” which he held & went in the big potty. Since the road home was closed due to an accident, we took a different way home. After our son went to sleep, I worked on our home videos & went to bed while my hubby stayed up late working.
This morning my hubby’s stomach was bothering him from the espresso in his coffee yesterday evening so he’s not quite himself today. As his stomach was cramping, he said that “now I know how you feel”. Poor guy.
In other news, the new shelving unit is working great for my son’s toys. It’s so much easier keeping the floor clean now.
