My hubby & I then took our son to see the movie "Over The Hedge". We read the book (basically a synposis of the movie) almost everynight at bedtime with his matching stuffed animals. The book & matching stuffed animals were a great gift from Grandpa B for our son. Anyhow, he watched the movie quietly all the way through while sitting on Daddy's lap. He asked for drink & crackers once or twice but that was it. There's one part where the animals are in trouble in the book & movie. When that happened, the whole theater was silent when our son replied "Uh oh" because he was worried about the animals. We were so proud of how well he did!
Afterwards my hubby & I goofed around while trying to decide on where to go for dinner. My son got a kick of the two of us wrestling for the popcorn for the sacred yellow pieces. Anyhow after three buckets (free refills are awesome!) of popcorn, we were pretty full but our son had to eat. Finally it was off to Pizza Hut where a waitress was odd. Not nice, indifferent or rude... Can't explain it.
Then on the way home, the fields were seriously full of fireflies! The fields liked they had flickering gold lights all throughout. It was so beautiful & amazing.
Our son then got to see a freight train come through town which he was in awe of. He's interested in so mnay things now & trains are but one of many of his interests.
