What great sound!

Last night was very relaxing & fun. While my hubby drove to my in-law's with our son, I got 'Mommy time-off' at my Uncle K's. The girls chatted while the guys played bean bag toss. The hamburgers were yummy with great seasoning. I told my Aunt A that I'd like to get some but it was her secret seasoning. She said she would make some for me though. I think my hubby & I might actually have found a seasoning for hamburgers & steak we both like! Cross your fingers folks!

Afterwards we watched the movies "Fifth Element" & "Armageddon" in their new theater room. It has a beautiful bar, leather recliners, a movie screen which covers the entire wall & is surrounded by red velvet curtains. The sound was so amazing!!!

That evening I finished the baby shower games & crashed at their place. The next morning I woke up at 8 am to a phone call with my mother informing me that my sister, J, was in the hospital in labor. Two hours later I was informed that the doctor was going to let her deliver the baby & that she would be admitted.

So although the hospital okayed having the baby shower their, I realized how hard it would be to fit 8-22 people in her hospital room (not including the cake & food). If she was in active labor, how enjoyable would it be to open baby gifts while your laying down & your stomach is contracting??? So I called everyone to cancel, posted a sign on her front door & headed to the hospital. She was given some medication & sleeping when I arrived so I visited with my Aunt D & her family who was visiting while crotcheting. When my sister awoke she was informed that although she was 75 % effaced & contracting every six minutes, nothing had progressed. So she was being sent home.

All in all, Sunday was a disappointing day for me. The baby shower which we've worked so hard for had to be cancelled & J did not have the baby after all. On the other hand, my son & hubby had a ball at the beach. I'm so glad he did well with the water!
